This was Abbeymeads game in the first half, with several chances from good passing and strong running from mid-field. Adam Reade again opened the scoring with good control and a shot from inside the box. The defense played there part with Matthew Sutton again having a good game in goal keeping a clean sheet in the first half.
Cleeve came out strong in the second half and sneaked their first goal from a corner. Matthew Sutton pulled off some good saves, but a poorly cleared corner left Cleeve a clear shot from just outside the box from which they scored their second. Abbeymead kept their heads up well and created several chances with good runs and passing down the left and right wing. Cleeve's goalkeeper played well to keep Abbeymead out. The referee said how good the game was and how unlikely Abbeymead were not to come away with at least a draw. Well played both teams.
