On a massive pitch with a strong wind this was always going to be a game of two halves. With the wind behind them Drive scored with a lovely cross shot to lead 1 - 0 at half time. In the second half, Abbeymead were rarely out of the Drive half but created few chances for all their possession - giving the ball away cheaply rather than passing. With one minute to go the referee - on the half way line - over-ruled the linesman and made a controversial decision to disallow an Abbeymead equaliser.
