ABBEYMEAD ROVERS A 6 MATSON 2
Although this wasn't one of their best performances of the season, Rovers never looked like losing the match and managed to score some excellent goals.
Callum Merchant scored the opener after 7 minutes following a good passing move, further first half goals from Ross Martin (11 mins), Luke McMahon (14 mins & 24 mins) gave Rovers a 4-0 half time lead, although this should have been more but for some good saves from the Matson keeper and an assortment of missed opportunities.
Ross Martin scored his second in the 37th minutes, with arguablly the goal of the game; Josh Vallender started the move, passing to Matt Williams who moved the ball onto Ryan Couling, Ryan cross was then met by Ross who headed home giving the Matson keeper no chance.
Ryan Couling scored Rovers 6th in the 43rd minute before Matson rallied with two late goals, the first an Abbeymead OG from a corner, the second was a well taken if not dubious free kick rewarding Matson's determination.
