Disciplinary Procedure
In line with FA guidance the club has a set procedure to enable members to bring matters of concern to the attention of the Club Management Committee.
There is a disciplinary procedure.
Some common sense points to start!
- The club exists to provide young players and adults with the opportunity to develop their football in an enjoyable coaching environment.
- Early discussion often resolves matters without recourse to further procedures. Stick to the facts and reflect on matters from the other persons point of view. Try not to personalise matters.
- Remember that some differences occur between members, personality, approach, etc that cannot be resolved. Sometimes it is best to accept these differences and move on.
However, if there is a matter of very serious concern to a member then the following staged procedure needs to be followed.
STAGE ONE: Written submission of matters from affected parties to the club secretary.
Review of submission by management committee.
STAGE TWO: The views and observations of other club members will be sought and the persons involved may be invited to attend a management meeting.
A further review will be carried out.
STAGE THREE: Advice of the management committee. This may take the following form.
- The matter is resolved and agreed amicably by all parties.
- The matter is resolved by the application of one of the following sanctions:
- a member is suspended from some specified club activities
- a member is suspended from all club activities and games for a defined period
- a member is expelled from the club.
- The committee reserves the right to inform the appropriate league or County FA of its action if the matter has arisen as a result of an officials' formal complaint or if the matter is a dispute involving another club.
Some matters may require urgent action to be taken and immediate contact made with the relevant civil authority. In these cases the procedures followed will be as directed by that authority.
Section 7 of the club constitution relating to membership.
RESIGNATION AND EXPULSION
- A member shall cease to be a member of the Club if, and from the date on which, he/she gives notice to the Club Committee of their resignation. A member, whose annual membership fee or further subscription is more than 2 months in arrears, shall be deemed to have resigned.
- The Club Committee shall have the power to expel a member when, in their opinion, it would not be in the interests of the Club for them to remain a member. There shall be no appeal procedures.
